36.jpgproductive business parks: Ginetta Business Park

Polo_Ginetta_ingressoThe Ginetta Business Park has its headquarters near the town of Santa Maria, Igarassu (PE), and is the second Economy of Communion Business Park in Brazil. It owes its name to Ginetta Calliari, co-founder of the Focolare Movement, for the role that she had on the development of EoC in Brazil. Ginetta Calliari in fact, immediately adhered to the EoC proposal and was deeply convinced of the project’s response to the complex social problem of the country.

The Business Park’s main mission is to promote and give visibility to the Economy of Communion (EOC), welcoming small and medium-sized companies that adhere to this new style of economic action, whose spirit is based on the enhancement of human potential, in a context of freedom and participation. It is, therefore, committed to reducing inequality with efficient business principles of profitability and social-environmental responsibility..

A little bit of history:

In 2002, the first act for the birth of the Business Park: the constitution of the Company: Polo Empresarial EdC do Nordeste S.A..

In 2003 a lot of 8.3 hectares was purchased and in 2005 they invest in the construction of the Business Park. In 2007, the inauguration of the first warehouse. Today, two companies are in business: the Prodiet Farmacêutica Ltda, specialized in trading and distribution of medical products, and From the Road Ltda, studio of bags distributed throughout Brazil and beyond.

The Business Park structure is composed of, in addition to two warehouses and at the headquarters an administrative office, a fully equipped 25-seat room and two additional offices available for service companies. The third building, under construction, will bring the Business Park area to 900 m2.

Today the Business Park, in addition to initiatives for a wider audience, hold training sessions for entrepreneurs in the Northeast and moments dedicated to those who live and work in companies linked to the Economy of Communion in the region.

The current shareholders of Ginetta Business Park are 1,110. But how can we forget the strength and courage of the first 113 shareholders who brought this project forward, often with great sacrifices? In this slide show are some photos of the Business Park and the people who work there:

Ginetta Business Park news:

Fire at Ginetta Business Park

Providentially, no structural damage was caused by the fire that hit Polo Ginetta

151127 Polo Ginetta Incendio 02This is what Anpecom, the Brazilian EoC Association wrote to us: "We would like to inform you that last Friday Ginetta Business Park in Iguaraçu - Pernambuco was struck by fire: the fire burned 6 hectares of land, but no physical structure was damaged. We think it was providential that the facilities were not affected.  Right now we are trying - with serenity - to extract something positive from this episode. We feel that we have to unite more in this experience that the business parks are living together and we want to ask what God asks of us. We ask especially for your unity and prayers that we may live this phase well."

Lado C: a new business at the Ginetta Industrial Park

A business born from the Communion of know-how and more...

By Adriana Mendes

LadoC_socieI had long dreamed of opening an EoC business in the Ginetta Industrial Park (Igarassu-PE). After a few years of trying and of conducting market research in Brazil, during the 20th anniversary Assembly of the EoC in Sau Paolo, I met  Jussara Gomes, an entrepreneur of the EoC who founded the Gicalli company, a business that has been in operation for 18 years in Rio de Janeiro.” This is how Aparecida Pina, better known as Cida, an expert in social communications, tells about the start of the business venture named Lado C (Side C, creative pieces) at the end of January 2012. Cida  is now in charge of the sales department, in addition to coordinating the general management of the business.

Cida’s dream was immediately shared also by  Nadja Palmeira from Maceió-AL, who had the same desire and thus became a partner. (in the photo: Nadja on the left and Cida on the right)
